Andreas is most at home in the Courtroom, having begun his career in Greece and thereafter moving to Cyprus. He is a seasoned litigator who has handled a wide range of cases over a broad spectrum of legal fields having almost 100 trial judgements to his name. Andreas has litigated numerous high-profile libel actions and negligence claims for both private clients and semi-public bodies.
He has considerable experience in Employment Law and appears regularly before the specialised Employment Court. He also advises some of the largest semi-public bodies in Cyprus, such as the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, on their internal disciplinary procedures.
Andreas has also litigated complex, multijurisdictional disputes on behalf of foreign multinationals and is adept at effectively litigating demanding and complicated corporate litigation cases that have many witnesses and that centre on fine points of law. He has also litigated more than 30 Recourses before the Supreme Court and this affords him a rare understanding of the intricate legal relationship between public and private law. He has litigated on behalf of the Republic of Cyprus on numerous occasions in both public and private law cases.
He appears before both the District and Supreme Courts as well as the specialised Administrative and Employment Courts on an almost daily basis.
Andreas also awarded by the Foundation of Maragopoulos Competition for students in Greece and abroad on the subject: "The Human Rights (MFHR)" organised by the International Institute of Human Rights (Rene Cassin).
He is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and the Nicosia Bar Association since 2008.
